my4cut started from a single table
The short answer
my4cut began as a photo booth app I made alone. Later I recruited teammates and rented a meeting room every weekend to work together, with between one and five people, and we built version 2.0.

It started as a solo project
Hi! I’m Seochan, the creator of my4cut.
I launched the app solo and it even reached #3 on the App Store.
That’s when I decided it was time to scale the experience.
Weekend meetings for version 2.0
To expand the product, I gathered a small team.
We rented meeting rooms on weekends and built version 2.0 together.
Those 1–5 person sessions shaped what my4cut is today.

Small team, wider reach
It’s still wild to see a small team’s product spread to more places.
Not worldwide yet, but used across different cities and events.
Helping people capture moments is the best kind of motivation.

Why tomorrow feels exciting
Isn’t this why we build products?
We’re constantly improving the experience.
Every day feels exciting—more updates coming soon.

What went into 2.0?
Version 2.0, polished in those weekend meetings, changed how you pick and shoot photos. It is covered in the 2.0 update post.
- Pick from your album: choose 4 to 8 photos without shooting, then make a strip from 4 of them.
- Shoot 4 to 8 photos: after shooting, pick the 4 you like.
- Browse frames and filters by category and check the result right away.
- My camera: save the timer, mirror mode and basic retouching so they apply next time.
Where was it used afterward?
The service the team built spread to event venues. In July 2026 I ran a demo table at Venture Café Tokyo, and in August it was used at events and a pub in San Francisco. In Korea it also showed up at church and university events.
The 2.0 changes are in the 2.0 update post, and the field stories are in the Venture Café Tokyo and San Francisco pub posts.
